The Glasgow Taxis cup is fast approaching which means it is an exciting time for all people related to sport at the University of Glasgow. Glasgow University Rugby and Football Club is no exception to this and as defending champions are preparing to defend their crown against the challenge of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian.

Speaking to people involved with the team there is a real buzz about the event and people are looking forward to participating in it. A lot of preparation goes into every game but playing in the taxis cup means a lot to everyone involved. Helping Glasgow to defend its crown as reigning champions and get one over the nearest rivals certainly adds to the ever-growing excitement.

A lot of hard work and preparation has gone into the cup and the preparation has been going well hopefully we will be rewarded on game day and repeat last year’s hard won success, when the lads produced a stand out performance to beat both Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian to achieve a clean sweep in Rugby and do our bit to helping the University of Glasgow win the cup for the fourth year in a row.

Go Glasgow.
