The Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) has announced changes to the funding it offers to postgraduate students from 2017/18.

Scottish domiciled students studying on eligible one year full time taught programmes will now be entitled to claim loans of up to £10,000.

The funding package comprises of a tuition fee loan of up to £5,500 and a non means tested living cost loan of £4,500.

Students studying on a part time basis on eligible courses can apply for tuition fees of up to £2,750 a year.

SAAS said that the funding “is being extended to include eligible students on taught Masters programmes. Previously, funding was limited to a certain number of Diploma courses.”
